Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is releasing Mickey’s Adventures in Wonderland on DVD September 8, 2009. This fifty minute full length movie is based on Lewis Carrol’s stories and characters. It is a great Mickey Mouse Club Presentation aimed for toddlers ages 2-3 and primary ones ages 4-6. I can hardly wait to see my granddaughter’s reaction to it.

Mickey and Donald are preparing for Daisy’s birthday party. When Donald breaks her present, a cuckoo clock, its cuckoo flies away. The two are determined to find the bird and fix the clock so they travel off into fairytale wonderland. It’s a great visit filled with laughs. Along the way they meet Ludwig von Drake, Minnie Mouse, Bluto, Tweedle Chip and Tweedle Dale, Goofy Hatter, and Queen Clarabelle.

Of course, Mickey and Donald eventually save the day, and everyone has a blast. To make the movie even better there is a bonus section featuring age appropriate educational games with two different adventure modes. This is great foundation material for pre-school and early school learning. The thinking skills and selections build on sizes, shapes, time, counting, colors, and numbers.

What little boy or girl won’t want to have this movie? It is both fun to watch and fun to play. Best of all Disney has included Goofy Goes Goofy as a bonus short. What an add on!
