Kids and parents love this because toys they already have will not be forgotten or wasted—Überstix will just add to them! An Überstix collection can also be expanded using everyday items such as paper clips for connection points, Popsicle® sticks as foundations for tall buildings, plastic bottles as floatation devices and spoons for catapults. It allows for limitless creativity and is a greener way to play.

GIFT IDEA – UBERSTIX ÜBERPULT

About the Überstix ÜberPult

The ÜberPult is part of the Science Project Series™. It’s time to fling things with a purpose! Kids can now build a functional catapult and learn the physics that make launching objects through the air possible. The catapult itself only requires 90 of the kit’s 181 pieces, leaving plenty of extra pieces to upgrade and explore new design options. As part of our Science Project Series, this kit includes a Lab Sheet to test and record a series of suggested experiments. Kids write down what they think will happen and then what actually happened. It’s a great way to teach kids how to run experiments and make improvements.

I just got a look at Uberstix’s ÜberPult, 183 pieces of engineering that can build a real launching catapult. It is an age eight through adult construction toy. I would hate to see a finished product brought into a school cafeteria where food flies easily without mechanical intervention.

This science project series entry is an example of innovation, diversity, and adaptation. It encourages its users to think outside the box. $24.99 buys a non-proprietary designed toy that actually is even more fun to build with than to play with. Best thing is that it can be integrated with other sets for the the ultimate in unlimited creativity. Use it alone or with other Uberstix kits like Uberbird (mentioned next).

The Uberstix ÜberPult is geared for ages 8 and up. SRP is $25.00. All Überstix products are available at all Toys “R” Us Stores. Überstix are also available at over 50 online retailers including toysrus.com, fatbraintoys.com and csn stores (top 100 e-retailers online).

GIFT IDEA – UBERSTIX UBERBIRD

About the Überstix ÜberBird

The ÜberBird is part of the Überstix Animal Kingdom Series™. The ÜberBird inspires creativity while developing kids’ spatial and problem-solving skills and mechanical intuition. The ÜberBird is built with articulate movable parts that allow the birds wings to flap. The ÜberBird teaches youngsters about the workings of movable joints, and when it’s appropriate to engineer a creation with movable, as opposed to non-movable, connections.

ÜberBird for those 8 up has interlocking building pieces that can be redesigned and upgraded to make other models and structures. It even integrates with other systems and allows builders to use recycled parts like straws, sticks, paper cups, paper clips, and plastic bottles.

ÜberBird is imagination over the max even without an umlaut. It’s so versatile that the finished bird demonstrates realistic bird wing action. The ads say, “Build it. Float it. Fly it.” It does all that and more. Play with Uberbird OR perhaps turn a school project into fun. At $12.99 list, this is a deal.

The Überstix ÜberBird is geared for ages 8 and up. SRP is $13.00. All Überstix products are available at all Toys “R” Us Stores. Überstix are also available at over 50 online retailers including toysrus.com, fatbraintoys.com and csn stores (top 100 e-retailers online).
