GIFT IDEA – SCANDLE CANDLE

I love candles. Some can pleasantly fill a room with their scent. Some can light the way in the dark. Some also can be used as massage oil. When I returned home from the last trip, a Scandle Essentials Travel candle I had agreed to review had come in the mail for me.

About the Scandle

The Scandle is a candle that burns at 2 degrees above body temperature to produce a soothing oil for massage, manicures, pedicures, or as a daily moisturizer. Made from 100% natural ingredients (including soy), The Scandle emits less soot and toxins into the environment than traditional parrafin candles. Scandles feature refillable/reusable canisters and sustainable packaging.

Scandle has won awards including

*Winner The Best of Best Spa Tools & Accessories 2008- Skin, Inc. Magazine
*Winner of Best Candle 2008 Beauty Awards – H2O Magazine
*Finalist in the 2008 Fragrance Business Product of the Year Awards – GCI Magazine

The first thing I noticed was its warm vanilla sugar smell. After my shower, I touched a match to it and let its wax soften and melt. Its oil formed a soothing Vitamin E lotion of sorts both great with aromatherapy body moisturizing. A little went a long way.

The Scandle Body Massage Candle comes in fifteen different fragrances. It is soy-based and contains some nut products. Its burn time is fifteen to thirty hours. It retails for $12.95 and can be bought at selected retail locations or on line. Go to www.scandlecandle.com for more information.
