GIFT IDEA – CARON FRAGRANCE NUIT DE NOEL
I adore French perfume. Channel is the best. My must wear is its Gardenia, a perfume that debuted in 1922, retired, then returned in 1993. It is sold only in its boutique stores which number approximately forty worldwide. It retails for $210 a half ounce. Needless to say, most women have never even sniffed much less worn it. So it is not on my giving list. However, another one is that’s perfect for the holiday season.
I recently was sent a vaporisateur natural spray bottle of Nuit de Noel eau de Toilette by Caron Paris. From its name Nuit de Noel, translation Christmas Night, to its floral-woody-amber scent, it is romantically poetic, quietly whispering. It has something vaguely oriental about it.
Mix jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, iris, sandlewood, tuberose, and saxon moss in the right proportions and the result is an exquisite dry down. Women love this perfume. It has been a consistent seller since it was created in 1922. A 30 ml bottle sells for $75.00. ‘Tis the season.
Nuit de Noel may be purchased in select stores.
