GIFT IDEA – CAFE BUSTELO GOURMET GIFT SETS

About Cafe Bustelo

Café Bustelo™ has a history dating back to 1930s of producing espresso in the traditional Hispanic style. With a family tradition of creating savory and aromatic coffee, the Souto family believes the best coffee is achieved through quality beans and roasting perfection. Today, Café Bustelo™ is one of the leading and most recognizable coffee brands in the world and is part of Rowland Coffee Roasters, Inc., parent to over twelve different coffee brands brewed in the company’s state-of-the-art facility in South Florida. In 2007 Café Bustelo™ introduced its new café con leche iced coffee beverage, Bustelo Cool, to target the coffee’s younger and loyal consumer base. Bustelo Cool was first previewed at major music festivals and entertainment events throughout the summer in Chicago, Las Vegas, Austin, New York and the Hamptons. Fans of Café Bustelo™ include Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, Gym Class Heroes, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan, Chloe Sevigny, Kim Kardashian and 50 Cent. Café Bustelo™ is available throughout Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, New York, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles, New England and more.

I have never made espresso before although I played house with my aunt’s special espresso pot while I was supposed to be napping a lot. So when I was offered the opportunity to try Cafe Bustelo I just had to accept. I received a special gift basket filled with an espresso pot, tiny cups and saucers. I searched out the demitasse spoons that had been handed down to me, googled espresso making, then began. I was surprised at what I learned.

I have always thought of Cafe Bustelo as a cheap Hispanic coffee favored for more its cultural tradition than its taste. It even has bilingual messages on its coffee cans. A rich dark color and an intense taste best describe it made as espresso. Laced with lots of cream and sugar, I must admit I like its taste. Cafe Bustelo can best be described in two words–potent and inexpensive.

Espresso coffee is not a bean; it is a way to make coffee in a special pot that forces water under pressure down through finely ground coffee. The result is a concentrated beverage with a thicker consistency than regular coffee house brews and an intense taste all of its own. Once made espresso coffee is the base for many coffee drinks from the Italian cappuccino to the New Orleans latte–hot, iced, or as a smoothie.

I have been starting each day with a hot cup then putting the rest aside for cold ones later in the day. My can of Cafe Bustelo is lasting quite well, but when it is finished I will buy another. Cafe Bustelo products include regular and decaf, whole beans and grind, pods, instant, specialty, and even ice tea.

Like it says on my new coffee cups, I love Cafe Bustelo. Hope you will as well.

With espresso gift baskets ranging in price from $29.99 to $74.99 there’s something to fit your budget that the coffee lover in your life will enjoy.
