GIFT IDEA -BELKIN TRAVEL COMPUTER ACCESSORIES
I recently bought myself an IBM compatible laptop for traveling as my old eMac is just to big to take with me on the road. It has remained in its box for the last two months at all times though other than when hubby loaded my programs and files on it. My family has always teased me about frugality so no one was surprised when I opted not to order any accessory pieces. I have been saving for the rainy day that is bound to come. I was thrilled to receive the opportunity to try some Belkin computer accessories.
It took me a few minutes to get the package open. Too bad they can’t get mouths to move that way as well. (Just kidding.) I didn’t have my reading glasses on so the words on the next box didn’t help much but the picture did. It was a mouse.

I like mice – the computer kind that is. Well, the Belkin Wireless Travel Mouse is just what I would go out and buy for myself. It is even compatible with my Mac if I want to use it with my desktop since it is very portable. It’s comfortable to use, light weight, works smoothly, and easy to connect. It features two buttons and a scroll wheel to make scrolling up and down a breeze. It comes in five colors but I’m glad mine came in plum berry (looks very pink). Hubby will never steal anything that girly from me so I am guaranteed to be able to find it. It is a bargain at its list $24.99.

Now remember I said products plural. I recognized the item in the box that followed immediately. It was the Belkin Mini Surge Protector With USB Charger, something I learned is always needed from painful experience when years ago a storm hit our house’s wiring and shorted out lots of expensive things. Thank you, thank you, Belkin. I was just getting ready to buy one.
This one is even better than the one I am using by my desk. Its green light shows it is working. This surge protector has three AC outlets and two USB chargers on it all protected to 918 joules (in case you don’t know that is electricity not jewelry) with a $75,000 connected equipment warranty. It even includes the USB charging cable lest one was left back home.
It comes in its own travel case with a cover to protect it from being bent. It rotates so it only takes the space of one plug. Now I can connect all my toys–cell phone, ipod, digital camera, portable DVD, laptop then some. It is lightweight and compact too so when I put it in my new Belkin FlyThru Laptop Case I didn’t feel like I was carrying a ton of bricks. All this lists at $24.99, more than well worth it.

Well, that carrying case I just mentioned was at the bottom of things. It was what I need for air travel since I do at times travel alone. Its airport checkpoint friendly case has plenty of storage space for all my extras and a clear window over the laptop for TSA. The bag is constructed to zip in half so the laptop is by itself when going through the x-ray machine.
My Belkin FlyThru Laptop Case has interior measurements of 11.25 X 14.8 X 8 inches, outside ones of 13 X 16.6 X 4.5 inches, minimal metal zippers, and a detachable shoulder strap. With a lifetime warranty, I am counting on its durability. In this case for $59.99 the price is right.
These Belkin laptop accessories for anyone who travels frequently, like I do. They’re affordable, work great, and are easy to connect and use.
