Guiltless Gourmet Unsalted Tortilla Chips Review And Giveaway

guiltless gourmet chips

I received a bag of Guiltless Gourmet All Natural Unsalted Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips which I brought to some 4th festivities to which we had been invited. We also brought some bruschetta for a dip. The host had other chips and salsa on the table so I was interested in seeing which bag would be consumed first. Now in all fairness, the other brand (salted) was open on the table as we arrived so, perhaps the guests were reticent about opening another one. Still at cleanup time, the competition was crumbs to half a bag of Guiltless.

I had been eating Guiltless Gourmet because I am on a diet and as a diabetic I count carbs. I also have high blood pressure. Crispy, crunchy, baked not fried, organic ingredients, all make for a healthier product. A one ounce serving of 18 chips has 120 calories, 22 grams carbohydrates, and 3 grams protein. Guiltless Gourmet Tortilla Chips come in eight flavors – Blue Corn, Chipotle, Chile Verde, Chili Lime, Mucho Nacho, Spicy Black Bean, Yellow Corn and Unsalted Yellow Corn.

Guiltless Gourmet’s food line includes chips, dips, wraps, and desserts. This particular product can be found on the shelves of stores like Foodtown, Pathmark, and Wegmans. It is also available on line at  www.guiltlessgourmet.com. With one bag being about $2.79 its cost is lower than comparable brands at specialty health food stores. I will try this product again but  since I prefer a more flavorful chip it will be in another flavor, maybe Blue Corn, Chile Verde, Chili Lime, Chipolte, Mucho Nacho, or Spicy Black Bean.

Guiltless Gourmet is currently running the Go Guiltless in Sin City Sweepstakes. Until September 30th, consumers will have a chance to win hundreds of prizes including the grand prize which is an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas! Bags of Guiltless Gourmet chips will have a special code on the bag that consumers can redeem on the Guiltless Gourmet website. The Grand Prize includes a 4 day/3 night stay at a five-diamond Las Vegas resort, a $1,500 Gift Certificate to a world class spa and $1,500 in cash. There are (50) First Prizes of either a $100 Gift Card redeemable for merchandise at a specified grocery store OR a $100 American Express Gift Card. There are (100) Second Prizes of a Coupon redeemable at a participating grocery store for one bag of Guiltless Gourmet tortilla chips (ARV: $2.79 per prize).

The manufacturer recently changed this product. It used to contain no added oil and be healthy. But now, the chips have oil added and are greasy and anything but “guiltless.” I don’t want to try any of them, because they are no longer healthy.

    Anne,

Too bad as there should be choices–make a second type would have been my suggestion.
