Literally generations ago I completed my BA on campus, got a job, married, had kids, then decided I wanted an MA. Living far from affordable universities offering such degrees, I traveled several times a week to get the courses I wanted and needed. Times are different today. Fully accredited online universities exist that offer both Bachelor and Master programs. I wish they had been around forty years ago. It is an affordable, flexible way to continue one’s education.
Today I learned about Western Governor, a private, non-profit, online university founded by nineteen governors. It has a wide variety of programs for teachers, business, information technology, and health professions. Its basic tuition is $2,890 per term with both scholarships and student loans available to enrollees. The school offers an online degree and is even approved for Veterans Administration benefits under the Montgomery GI Bill.
If you want a higher education, check your opportunities and options. It’s never too late. Perhaps an online teaching degree would suit your lifestyle.

Definitely going to look into this! I was interested in going back to get a graduate degree, and one program I looked at cost almost $1000 per credit hour because, even though it was considered a distance program, I was an out of state student. I can’t imagine what tuition will be when my daughter is college aged!
