Do You Take Someone Else’s Word For Things Or Decide For Yourself?

I was watching a house hunting show on television last evening and was amazed at how many of the potential buyers just went with an agent’s recommendation and didn’t do some comparison shopping. I always try to do that. It’s worth the time for the money I save OR the extras I snag. I did that for two real estate purchases, several vehicles, a couple of motor homes, and, of course, insurance coverage. Then, with what I saved, I got insurance quotes on those bigger than big ticket items and invested in the best deal.

I have been there and done that. When I was younger, I simply didn’t want to pound the pavement and do the research or comparison, simply put, I was lazy! But that has changed with age, thankfully. Now I am sniffing out the best deals I can find, even if it takes me awhile. No more just jumping with my eyes and ears closed.

    Cheryl,

I doubt if you were lazy.  Proobably it was so much to do and so little time.  Experience changes things as does lack of stress and pressure.  When we are young, we so want to be perfect and perform so.
