California Driving

I’m traveling in California for a few days. Driving here is not like home and it got me to thinking. How many times has each of us realized as we went by that the exit just passed was where we were supposed to get off? Nothing is worse than driving alone by night on a poorly light road with few if any exit signs. Things like traffic jams, intersecting roads and impatient, rushing drivers further complicate everything. I hate to think of the occasions I have had to loop back along Golden State Freeway. If I were not so technologically impaired, maybe using a GPS would help.
