A piece of paradise in South Carolina

A while back a dear friend moved out of New Jersey to South Carolina. So when the invitation arrived asking us to visit, naturally we took the opportunity. She lives about an hour’s drive from the beach.

Driving down was an easy trip, good roads and a direct route, in great weather. The trip to its northern border was accomplished in about eight hours–with no pushing–and another four or so more to its southern one. We love what we found.

Beaches are clean, wide, sandy, and accessible. Local attractions and amusements abound. Amusement parks, water parks and water sports, nightlife, live entertainment, theaters, and golf are dot the coastline down the state. From Myrtle Beach to Hilton Head the serene beaches and beautiful land invite. Who can resist the image of someone riding a horse along the shoreline?

Travelers will find RV resorts, timeshares, and beach vacation rentals well worth looking into.
